thoughtengine helps people and organisations to think broadly, resolve complex issues and to employ inspired strategies. Below are a few examples of client work undertaken.

thoughtengine were asked to design and perform a horizon scan and a more detailed Science and Technology scan for the period 2005 to 2015. The thoughtengine process involved consultative and progress meetings with the four sponsoring government departments and extensive desk-based research.
Outputs included the presentation of findings to the sponsoring departments, a detailed report of findings, specific prototypes and opportunities of interest for further investigation and a PowerPoint slide presentation for onward use by the sponsoring departments.

thoughtengine were asked to serve as primary author, supporting the prime contractor, in constructing a futures toolkit – Exploring the future: tools for strategic thinking. This was a three month research-based project.

thoughtengine worked within the KCL HFP project team to introduce futures characteristics and techniques to the United Nations In-Country team in the Philippines. This two-week assignment involved on-site interviews, tested current practice against comparable benchmark organisations and provided bespoke workshops to develop in-country understanding and application of futures tools in this unique and challenging environment.

thoughtengine provided workshop-based futures training focused on horizon scanning, scenario planning and the application of both techniques to the organisation’s strategic processes.
